EXPERIENCE

As a Director serving on the Finance Committee of Results International (Australia), I have contributed to advancing the organisation’s mission of generating the political will to end extreme poverty. Results is a non-partisan international aid and development organisation that advocates directly to Australian Parliamentarians to mobilise significant government funding for the world’s poorest communities. Through this advocacy, the organisation has enabled billions of dollars to be directed toward alleviating diseases of poverty such as tuberculosis and polio, and ensuring millions of children have access to basic education.

In my role, I provide strategic financial oversight and governance, ensuring that the organisation maintains strong financial health and accountability. Key contributions include: 

Financial Stewardship: Reviewing budgets, financial statements, and forecasts to ensure alignment with organisational goals and compliance with regulatory requirements. Key focus areas have been improving reporting to provide visibility on liquidity and cost review. 

Risk Management: Identifying and mitigating financial risks to safeguard the sustainability of programs and advocacy efforts. 

Strategic Input: Supporting decision-making on resource allocation to maximise impact in global health and education initiatives. 

Governance Excellence: Upholding transparency and integrity in financial reporting and contributing to the organisation’s long-term strategic planning and review of policies and frameworks.

As Head of Data and Digital Transformation of Holcim Australia and New Zealand, I established and led the Data and Digital Transformation function, defining a forward-looking digital strategy anchored in a data-driven culture. My focus was on integrating financial strategy with digital innovation to deliver measurable business impact and build the foundation for future technology capabilities.

With a strong commitment to leveraging technology and AI, I unlocked new opportunities that created lasting value for the organisation, clients, and investors. Key achievements include:

Strategic Alignment: Designed an operating model that fully aligned data and digital initiatives with organisational business goals, fostering a data-driven mindset and managing complex change effectively.

Performance & Accountability: Introduced role-based KPIs to clarify responsibilities and drive accountability across operational teams.

Digital Solutions: Delivered advanced tools to address critical challenges such as S&OP planning, cashflow forecasting, and ESG measurement.

System Simplification: Streamlined system architecture to enhance user experience through integration and a single source of truth, improving engagement and efficiency.

Cultural Impact: Achieved the highest team score in the organisation’s Gallup employee engagement survey, reflecting strong leadership and team cohesion.

These initiatives positioned Holcim for sustainable growth and operational excellence in a digital-first world.

In this role, I demonstrated the power of data and technology in creating tangible business value. By leveraging digital tools to streamline finance processes and deliver actionable insights, I supported pricing strategies that drove top-line growth and transformed loss-making businesses into profitable operations. My approach combined detailed analysis with a bias for action, enabling strategic decisions and operational improvements across the business.

Key achievements include being selected for the Global Leaders Program (2021) and recognised as Top Talent in global succession planning, gaining mentoring opportunities with the Group CIO. I successfully acted as Head of Corporate Finance and CFO during extended leave periods, showcasing leadership agility. 

I also influenced enterprise-wide strategy through robust financial modelling, improved working capital performance. My leadership extended to cultural transformation as a member of the Diversity and Inclusion Committee, championing change across the organisation.

As a Commercial Finance Manager I was responsible for setting the strategic direction of a large national division operating across an extensive network of plants. My focus was on cost optimisation, resource allocation, and developing an ESG strategy to create a differentiated market position.

Key achievements include leading successful offshoring of shared services to international locations, achieving performance targets within a short timeframe; identifying operational improvements that delivered significant EBIT and working capital gains; and designing a suite of performance management tools to standardise KPIs and improve accountability. I developed an integrated business performance model, drove cost optimisation and restructuring programs, and led valuation and due diligence for a major acquisition that continues to outperform expectations. Additionally, I owned the planning cycle, implemented forecasting tools for a single source of truth, and strengthened governance of shared service agreements. My leadership extended to building financial acumen among business leads, enabling better decision-making and profitability outcomes.

Progressed through finance management and analyst roles at Diona Civil, Fletcher Building, ooH Media, and Metcash building expertise in commercial finance, M&A, and supply chain optimization across diverse industries.
